Rebecca Cole, born and raised in Southeast Texas, is a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Professional Counselor Associate who brings 30 years of experience to her work with children, adolescents, and families. With a strong academic foundation, she earned her Bachelor's degree from McNeese State University in 1994 and her Master’s degree from Lamar State University in 1997. In 2024, Rebecca furthered her expertise by earning a certification in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lamar University.
Rebecca specializes in helping young clients address social, emotional, and behavioral challenges. She focuses on strengthening coping mechanisms, self-regulation skills, and social skills, aiming to support individuals in their emotional wellness journey. Her extensive experience also includes working with neurodiverse individuals and their families, offering personalized therapeutic support to meet each client's unique needs.
Under the supervision of Mondee Stone, MS, LPC-S, Rebecca’s blend of academic knowledge and hands-on experience allows her to offer tailored guidance and support to those navigating life’s challenges, particularly those within the neurodiverse community.
Rebecca’s use of an eclectic approach to therapy means she tailors her methods to suit the unique needs of each client. By integrating various therapeutic techniques, such as Solutions Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), play therapy, and mindfulness, she can adapt her approach based on the issues her clients are facing, whether those are related to anxiety, depression, behavioral concerns, or life transitions. This flexibility is a key strength of eclectic therapy, as it allows Rebecca to draw from a variety of evidence-based practices and use what will be most effective for the individual.
Additionally, working closely with parents to develop strategies aligns with the holistic nature of an eclectic approach, as it considers the broader family dynamics and environment. This personalized and adaptable approach increases the likelihood of achieving sustainable and meaningful change for her clients, especially children and teens.
